CPR+ includes functionality that allows users to create Price Quotes. Price Quotes can be created for existing patients, or patients that your organization is considering taking on to service. Pricing may be based on an existing payor's Special Price Matrix, calculated from formulas, or manually entered.
The Price Quote is separated into three distinct sections: patient/payor information, formulas, and items. Patient/Payor Information – The user may enter the name of a potential patient, or select from a list of existing patients. If the user selects an existing patient record, the Last Name, First Name, Primary Prescriber, and Primary Insurance information are populated on the form. To the right of each field is a small, blue triangle icon. Click the triangle to access the associated pop-up window. Next to each of the triangular pop-up icons, there are “X’s”. Use the "X" to clear information from the associated field. There is a “go to” icon next to the Insurance Company pop-up that will take the user to the Insurance Company setup window – this permits the user to review the payor–specific setup and pricing. Formulas – The center of the Price Quote window allows the user to create formula overrides for items to be added to the quote. By default, CPR+ will use the pricing from the price matrix of the payor assigned. These fields allow the user to provide information that is different from the pricing default. Items – Adding items to a Price Quote is done similarly to adding items to a Delivery Ticket. Items may be selected one at a time from inventory, or by using a Supply Kit Template. IMPORTANT NOTE: Items added to a Price Quote will maintain the order in which they were added. Once all items are added to the Price Quote, the pricing may be further manipulated, either manually, or by changing the pricing formulations and then using the “Update Pricing” function. Once a Price Quote is marked as “Sent” it may be accepted, or rejected. This decision stays with the Price Quote for historical reference. If the status of the Price Quote is changed to “Accepted” and the patient record is new, then the user is prompted to add the patient to the CPR+ database. As a convenience, the Price Quote can be viewed from the Insurance Verification for the patient by clicking on the icon in the lower right-hand corner.
The Price Quote can also be used to create a Delivery Ticket. The user can create a new Delivery Ticket or open an existing Working Delivery Ticket, and on the “Delivery Ticket Items” tab use the <Ctrl+Q> keyboard command to select a Price Quote. This action adds all of the items on the Price Quote to the Delivery Ticket using the pricing that was on the “Accepted” Price Quote. Many CPR+ reports are designed to provide information to solve a specific problem. One of the best examples of this kind of report is the Inventory Quantity Changes report. Every change made to inventory quantities is logged in the inventory changes log. Each log entry includes a link to the inventory item, the user who made the change, and how the change was made. Change methods include every way a quantity can be modified: from drugs wasted due to a voided prescription, to physical inventory changes, to new drugs lots added through CPR+ Scan. The Inventory Quantity Changes report lets you identify changes by item, by the change method, by the user who made the change, or the inventory category. To run the Inventory Quantity Changes report, from the Main Menu select Reports (4) > Inventory Reports (3) > Inventory Quantity Changes (8). You can choose to see a summary of all changes, or changes by item, user, category, or change reason. You can also see a summary of transfers between sites if you have a multi-site system. Run this report after a physical inventory to see what items were “off.” Run it regularly for expensive items or controlled substance drugs to watch for shrinkage. Run it by reason to see if users are taking advantage of the technology you’ve purchased (such as CPR+ Scan) to speed up processes. |

Do you use the Outcomes Benchmarking module? If so, this tech tip is for you. In CPR+, you have the ability to be prompted to record an occurrence for benchmarking purposes. Upon saving a Progress Note for a patient, if you use one of 25 words that the system has indicated are “key words” relative to an occurrence, CPR+ will ask the user entering the Note if he or she would like to record an occurrence. Words like infection, hospital, fever, sepsis, complication, etc., are examples of key words. If you’d like to have this setting turned on, contact Customer Support. A Representative will connect into your system and set this option up for you. Be sure to ask the Rep to show you the complete list of key words.
