It seems that at one time or another, everyone has had the same problem with at least one payor: you need to re-submit all open invoices. Handling this issue in a few easy steps is just one of the awesome new functions that we are developing for the CPR+ A/R Manager.

The A/R Manager will be enhanced to include three batch functions:

  • Assign Status to Claims
  • "Adjust Off" Claims
  • Resubmit Claims

When a payor issue has been resolved, the A/R Manager can be utilized to identify all open invoices for that payor. Once identified, the batch functions will help you to re-submit all those claims at once.

We're also adding a column on the left side of the A/R Manager (see the screenshot below). All invoices will be tagged with an "X" by default. If necessary, you will be able to use the spacebar as a toggle to remove the "X" on invoices that you don't want included in the batch. Once all desired invoices have been tagged, you can click the Batch Functions button. A radio button to the left of the Resubmit ALL Tagged Claims option can be selected to resubmit electronic claims.

Additional Filters:

The new A/R Manager also introduces two more filters. These include the ability to filter for balances by claim or patient and status. You will be able to locate all invoices that are over 120 days and under $2.00. The new Batch Write-Off function can be utilized to adjust all of these transactions at once. Once all invoices have been identified for write off, you will be able to click on the Batch Functions button and select the radio button labeled Balance Write Off For Tagged Claims. You will then be prompted to enter the Adjustment Type to be assigned to these invoices. Once completed, all tagged invoices will be written off with the assigned Adjustment Code.

The ability to assign a status to claims and filter for this status will also be included in upcoming versions of the A/R Manager. For some time, CPR+ has had the ability to assign and track the status of claims on the Account Status Screen. In the new version, these invoices can be located using the Status Description filter (see screenshot below). Once all invoices have been identified for "statusing", you can click on the Batch Functions button and select the Assign Status To Tagged Claims radio button. You will then be prompted to select a new status to be assigned to these invoices. Once completed, these invoices can be identified using the Status Description filter.
