Wasn’t that the name of a Partridge Family song? What? None of you ever watched the Partridge Family? Yeah, right. OK - there's a weird mood in Columbus today – the Buckeyes lost another HUGE game on national TV, summer is winding down (and we hate Ohio winters) and we are less than 6 weeks from the 6th Annual CPR+ User Conference in Albuquerque, New Mexico. So why should YOU attend this year’s conference? As you probably know, we preview the CPR+ Annual Release at each year’s User Conference, giving those in attendance the first look at the new enhancements, changes in functionality, etc. A few of the items on the agenda for this year: Line-Item Financials This has been years in the making: with CPR+ v8.3, you’ll be able to have two or more payors simultaneously owe a partial balance on the same invoice, apply a payment from a secondary payor (or patient) that comes in before the primary (without needing to transfer the entire balance to the secondary, post the payment and transfer the rest back to the primary). You’ll also be able to see all “Claims” associated with each Invoice right from the Account Status Screen, and much more. There is a huge up-side to this new functionality – come to New Mexico and learn how to take advantage of it. New Specialty Pharmacy Work-flow Manager We’ve seen a large increase in Specialty Pharmacy business over the past few years as customers diversify their service offerings beyond traditional Infusion and HME. As a result, we’ve designed a brand-new Enterprise work-flow manager that enables you to set up and adjudicate electronic pharmacy claims BEFORE prescriptions are dispensed and generate ALL of your paperwork (Label, Delivery Ticket, Monograph, etc.) with one click. If you’re doing any specialty pharmacy, you’ll definitely want to check this out. One-Click Billing If you’re a faithful Weekly Infusion reader, you’ll recall that this new enhancement affects your Order Entry, Delivery Ticket creation and Invoice generation processes. It has the potential to dramatically streamline your operation - but only if your staff knows how to take advantage of it. Imagine how much lower your DSO would be and how much time your billing staff would save if they could create accurate invoice batches from tens or hundreds of DT’s in mere minutes… come learn how. Other Important Changes in v8.2 and 8.3a include:
2009 User Conference – C’mon Get Happy! There are hundreds of new enhancements and changes included in v8.2 and v8.3. In order to get the maximum benefit out of these new features, you and your staff need to understand how they work. If you've been to any of our previous conferences, you know how valuable attendance can be for your business. If you are a new customer, or haven't been able to attend in the past, this year may be the most important year to attend. Not only will there be hours (and hours) of training, attendees will have extensive round-table and Q & A opportunities. Don't miss out - we promise not to wear puffy shirts, velvet vests or sing Partridge Family songs! “Hello, Mrs. Porter. My name is Les Miles, and I’m an auditor for the State of Louisiana. I’m also the coach of the two-time National Champion Louisiana State Fighting Tigers. Yeah, I get around. Mrs. Porter, I need a list of all patients and doctors who have received and prescribed phentermine in the last six months. You’ve got three minutes, or I’ll take your season tickets away.” Now that’s a threat! Fortunately, the CPR+ Drug Usage Report will preserve those seats for me. I’ll have to run it for each of my forms of the drug, but I should be able to do that in three minutes. Set the timer… From the Main Menu, Select Reports (4), Pharmacy Reports (2), Drug Usage Reports (7). Select my drug from the list. Enter the date range Coach, er, Agent Miles asked for. Whew! My season tickets are saved! But seriously, this is a great report for spot-checking controlled substance dispensing. Compare this detail to your inventory changes log and quantity on hand to make sure they are going exactly where your documentation says they are going. |
