We hear people say it over and over: "Learn something new every day." Often, it's said in response to a discovery, as in, "I didn't know that 'til now." Other times it's said as a challenge, as in, "Go out there and learn something new today." At D.H.S., we do everything we can to make that challenge an easy one for our customers. Pathways of Training Do you know the one key to press to look for an answer to your CPR+ question? <F1> It's probably the fastest, most accessible way to learn something new in CPR+ every day. The database contains over 700 topics and we are constantly updating it. Just in the last two months, over 100 changes or additions were made to F1 Help. The next time you have a question, press your <F1> key to find the answer. If you need more answers than F1 can offer, contact Customer Support. Notice I didn't say "call" Customer Support. You can if you want to, of course, but your phone is not the only path to reach any of the 20 Support Reps here to assist you. From the Main toolbar, click the blue CPR+ sign and open a Chat Session. Each day, we dedicate one Level II Support Rep to handle all Chat Requests. Additionally, we have the Support Trainer of the Day and four or five other CSR's logged in to serve as backups. You can also contact us by email at support@cprplus.com. Our Customer Support Department has over 100 years of combined CPR+ experience ready to help you learn something new today.
Two Days, Every Two Years You've heard us say it before: "Our most successful customers participate in two days of On-Site Training every two years." Our on-site training service is a great opportunity to have one of our CPR+ Training and Implementation Specialists come out to your site. Speaking of our Trainers, we have two new trainers who will be joining Vincent, Tony, Richard and Adrienne as they cross the country to provide hands-on instruction. Sue James joins us with an extensive background in training and support. Her strong healthcare and software skills will enable her to quickly learn CPR+ and the industries that we support. Sue will begin her career at D.H.S. focusing on a new customer assessment project. Tami Maine officially joined the team yesterday. She's been using CPR+ for over ten years as one of our customers in Oklahoma City. Tami's focus will be handling the Customer Support Trainer of the Day duties combined with some on-site training. We believe our trainers are the best in the business! If you want to learn CPR+ from the best, contact Kim Carlsen to schedule some On-Site Training days ASAP! VOS Another option to access our training team is what we like to call "VOS time." VOS, or Virtual On-Sites are ordered in 4-hour blocks and can be used however needed by your organization (1/2 hour block, 1 hour block, 2 hour block, and so on). Once scheduled, your staff will log into a remote training session via a computer’s web browser, view results in REAL TIME, and get answers to your questions right away. Training Webinars Each month, we offer a free training webinar on various topics. Tomorrow, Amy will be teaching customers how to calculate patient responsibility on delivery tickets. (To register, see the Free Customer Training article in this issue.) The Weekly Infusion I suppose it goes without saying, but I'll say it anyway - this very newsletter is another opportunity for you to learn something about CPR+. Every week, we strive to pack each issue with useful information for you. From Angela's Tech Corner, to Ann's Report of the (every other) Week, to the hundreds of articles we've published so far, each newsletter contains helpful tips that you can use every day. Do you know how to access the newsletter archives? (Big, Important Hint for anyone who wants to win the 100th Issue Contest.) The CPR+ website has a searchable archive of every issue - starting with our very first one December 4, 2007. From the Main page of our website, just click the TRAINING menu, then click NEWSLETTERS. Annual CPR+ User Conference Once again, we're gearing up to provide over 40 hours of training at our Annual CPR+ User Conference. This year's conference will be held in Albuquerque, NM at the beautiful Tamaya Resort. If you're on the fence about attending - go to our website and read what past participants had to say. This is a tremendous opportunity to learn more about CPR+ and connect with your peers at the same time. This is a year you don't want to miss! Click here to learn more.
Please visit the Training section of our website to get more details on the many pathways to learning CPR+. I challenge you - learn something new - every day. In last week’s newsletter, Laura told you about many of the great tools available from the CPR+ Equipment Manager. In her example, she suggested that Jeff, the warehouse employee, could run the Equipment Manager for himself and proactively identify the equipment that needs preventative maintenance. Laura doesn’t know Jeff as well as I do. He’s a slacker, totally lacking in ambition, but he’s the owner’s nephew, and you’re stuck with him. He COULD run the Equipment Manager, but he won’t, because that would interfere with him watching Season Two of Arrested Development on Hulu™. Jeff needs a little encouragement. Jeff needs a list. With the PM Due Report, you can give him a piece of paper listing exactly what he’s supposed to work on. The PMs due report is available a couple of different ways. From the Reports Menu, select Inventory Reports (3), then Rental Item Reports (4). If you are in a multi-site system and logged in to all-sites, you’ll be prompted to select your site. Select PM Due (5). This report has a couple of different sort orders and selections available from this screen. If you are going to put Jeff in a truck and send him out to patient locations (!) you can order the report by zip code so he can work in a single area at a time, or select a single zip code if you know exactly where he’ll be going. You can sort by an item, or select for a single patient if he is going to see a specific patient who has several pieces of equipment. Select the date range for PM Due Date, and choose if you want to include items with no due date entered. You can also print this report from the Equipment Manager. When you select Print (F7) from the Equipment Manager grid, you are prompted for the report you want to run. If you select PMs Due, you will get the PMs Due sorted by Zip Code report for the items listed on the screen, even if you did not filter for PMs due. This is a great way to show that your preventative maintenance is up to date for a specific type or category of inventory item. Click here to view a pdf of the PM Due Report. |
