CPR+ Customers who attended this year's User Conference received hours of free training on the new features found in CPR+ version 8.3. The "Top 5" enhancements are: One-Click Billing, Line Item Financials, the redesign of the Recurring Rentals functionality, the new Specialty Pharmacy (SpRx) Enterprise List and the e-Signature functionality. Lately, it seems like One-Click and LIFE are stealing the lime-light from the others. They may not be as flashy, but some of the other changes in 8.3 have the potential to change the way you work - every day.

Recurring Rentals Redesign

For instance, customers with LIFE enabled can access the redesigned Recurring Rentals module. It will change the way you handle invoices, authorizations, and more. There is a new claims creation workflow that is similar to the Batch Claims creation process. In this version of the Recurring Rentals Manager, users can create multiple invoices at once for a single recurring rental. A recurring rental item can be auto-statused based on authorization requirements from the Payor or Item setup. CPR+ will assign the authorization that is linked to the Order for the item on the Delivery Ticket.

SpRx Enterprise List

There's a new Enterprise list in v8.3 too. It is a queue-based list designed for mail order, or Specialty Pharmacies. Users can track a patient's progress from referral to refills using this flexible tool. The key to SpRx is not just process, but the order in which events occur. For instance, claims can be ajudicated before the prescription is filled. Refill requests may be handled in a unique way. From the Incoming Faxes list, users can assign a fax to a patient. Once the fax is assigned, the patient's orders are displayed in a list. If the user selects an Order that has zero refills remaining, the user can select the Refill Authorization prompt to link the fax to the order. That Order will then be removed from the Zero Refills list. A new prescription is created and linked to the existing order. Because the faxed Authorization was linked to the Order and in turn, the prescription, the Order is moved to the Patients to Contact - Refills list. This gives the patient a new prescription that is based on the old prescription, but is linked to the same order.

e-Signatures

CPR+ now provides the option to add a signature image to an electronically signed document. A field titled "Signature image" was added to the Options tab of the Employee Setup window. Once the image is attached to the Employee record, it will print on electronically signed Physician Orders, Visit Reports / Assessments, Medication Profiles and Progress Notes.

To schedule an on-site training session, contact Kim Carlsen at 866-277-4876.

Each month, the CPR+ Training & Implementation Department conducts a FREE, live training session open to all CPR+ Customers. With an ever-changing industry, staff turnover, and continuous software enhancements, training should be an on-going priority for CPR+ users. Trained employees are more productive, efficient and knowledgeable, saving you time and money!
