Last week, my article on the Enterprise module focused on the Enterprise List Manager for IV. Now it's time to take a look at how that same List Manager changes when you select the HME radio button. When you do, you'll see that the selection of lists changes to focus on the unique processes that our HME customers tackle every day. HME companies handle hundreds of recurring rentals - something the Enterprise List Manager was designed for - helping the flow of high volumes of active orders.
Remember, the purpose of the Enterprise List Manager is to streamline your operations by giving certain individuals access to a single list or lists that they work throughout the course of the day. Based on each employee's responsibilities, they may work their entire day from one or two of the respective lists. For example, someone in the Intake area who handles new referrals and insurance verifications may spend most of their time in the Incoming Faxes, Order Entry / Completion and HME Order Authorizations lists. Meanwhile, a Customer Service Rep will use the Pts. to Contact - Recurring Supplies list. Here, they can focus on keeping up with your patients' needs while maintaining the flow of new business in to your company. The representative in this example has worked her list down to one!
Once a Delivery Ticket is confirmed, it moves from the Confirmation File list to "Ready-to-Bill" Orders list. Selecting this list opens the Ready-to-Bill Orders window. From here, your Billing staff can take over the patient's record management by creating an invoice, or even creating an invoice batch.
