This is a continuation of last week’s CPR+ SpRx Enterprise overview. Last week’s article covered the process for a new Order. This week, I will explain the Refill Process and discuss the remaining lists on the SpRx Enterprise List Manager.
During the initial dispense, once the lot numbers are assigned, the order is moved to the A. Patients To Contact – Refills list. Let's begin there.

- A. Patient To Contact – Refills: Patients are displayed on this list based on the Next Fill Date of the prescription. Once the patient has been successfully contacted, the dates and Progress Note can be set up in the contact window.
- B. Claims To Adjudicate – Refills: The claims can be transmitted based on the scheduled Fill Date. Once a payable claim is received the accepted claim will move to the C. Print Labels / Documentation list. If you are unsuccessful in receiving a payable response, the claim can be moved to 7. Claims Exceptions.
- C. Print Labels / Documentation: One click will print the labels, drug monographs, compounding record and the delivery ticket. If the patient has multiple orders assigned to the same delivery ticket, all prescriptions can be combined on one delivery ticket.
- D. Select Lots / Fill Rx: Once the drug is pulled from the shelf and labeled the corresponding lot number can be assigned to the patient record.
- E. Order Verification: The final check can be completed, utilizing a wedge scanner, to verify all items in the box are listed on the corresponding delivery ticket.
- F. Pending Shipments: Once the shipping software sends a tracking number to CPR+, the system will automatically remove the delivery ticket from this list.
There are several additional lists that are useful in the SpRx Enterprise List Manager. This is a breakdown for each of these lists.
- G. Rx Expiration / Zero Refills: This list will allow you to print refill requests for prescriptions that have zero refills or prescriptions that are expired. Orders will automatically be removed from this list when a refill authorization is faxed into CPR+. Orders are displayed on this list for one of two reasons:
- Once an Order has been filled in the D. Select Lots / Fill Rx list, it will automatically move to this list if there are no refills or remaining doses.
- When an Order is displayed in A. Patients To Contact – Refills and the prescription will expire prior to the End Date on List A, the Order will also appear on this list (G.) and will be highlighted in yellow.
- H. Rx’s To Discontinue: Orders can be moved to this list from most Enterprise lists. This will give you the ability to discontinue the Patient or the Order.
- 8. Authorizations: Items that are set to require an authorization based on the Payor requirements will display in this list. If the order does not have a current authorization, the user will not be able to make it ready to fill in either Patients to Contact lists. The orders will have a status of Req. Auth.
Remember that even though the appearance of the Enterprise SpRx List Manager is similar to the Enterprise IV List Manager, many processes are handled differently. Using the Enterprise SpRx List Manager to process a patient from referral to refill, enables CPR+ customers to manage the workflow requirements of a Specialty Pharmacy in a flexible and efficient manner.

Did you know...
that there is an easy way to locate and tag a delivery ticket for batch confirmation even if you don't own a barcode scanner? With the Delivery Ticket Confirmation list open, type in the ticket number followed by the <Tab> key. This will automatically locate the ticket and tag it for batch confirmation. This works the exact same way as using a barcode scanner, but without the scanner.
