Did you know that data can be collected within CPR+ outside of the predefined fields in the program?

An unlimited number of user defined fields can be added to the Patient, Prescriber, and Insurance Companies, as well as the Inventory Items section of CPR+. These fields can be used to create Custom Assessments or Custom Reports. They can also be used when tracking specific information that needs to be stored in the program. A user can set up both the question and the type of answer which can be: yes/no, essay, short answer, date / time, multiple choice, single answer (pop-up or option group), multiple choice, and multiple answer (checkbox).

User Defined fields created in CPR+ can be accessed by clicking the User Defined Fields icon in one of the following sections:

  • The Patient Menu toolbar
  • User Defined Tab of Patient Demographics
  • The Prescriber List window
  • The Add/Modify an Insurance Company window
  • Any Inventory Item window

User Defined fields can also be accessed to create Custom Assessments by navigating to Assessments (D) from the Templates Menu.

To create User Defined Fields: From the Main Menu, select Databases (7) > Templates (6) > User Defined Field (D) button, CPR+ displays the Select a User Defined Group list. This list is pre-defined by D.H.S. and relates to the individual sections where User Defined fields are accessed.

After selecting one of the defined groups, the Edit User Defined Fields window appears.

While this window is active, you can do the following: Under the Categories section, you can add, edit, or delete a category by clicking one of the corresponding buttons.

Under the Field section, you can add a new User Defined field by clicking the Add a New Field icon, or change an existing field by selecting one in the Available list and clicking the Edit Field icon.

Assessment Fields can be listed under the Available list or the Selected list. To move fields between the two lists, click the corresponding arrow icons. Fields that are shown under the Selected table are available to use under the specified User Defined Group.

Want to upgrade to CPR+ v8.3?

We want to help make it as smooth as possible for you and your staff. This version has some big changes in it. Version 8.3 contains hundreds of enhancements designed to speed the order entry and delivery ticket creation process, decrease or eliminate user manipulation of claims, and increase billing automation. Our #1 goal is to help you improve the operation of your HME, Infusion or Specialty Pharmacy business.

We would like to provide you with an assigned CPR+ Representative to facilitate your transition to CPR+ v8.3 by creating a project plan for you. We also recommend that you update a test system before updating your production system. And no one can go wrong with training your staff on all of the new changes prior to making the switch.

That's why we created some discounted v8.3 Training and Implementation packages. These packages include varying levels of data review, data conversion, process analysis, web-based and on-site training, and phone/ email access to a designated Conversion Specialist.

To learn more about these packages click here for a detailed description of the packages and order form or contact Erika Seitz.

Would you like to have more information print on your oral medications?

We have added a tab to Drug Inventory named "Label Info". This tab contains information that will print on a label. One of the fields on this tab is Drug Description. Information entered here will print on any of your custom prescription labels, not just PO medications.

What do you need?

CPR+ version 8.2a or better and a Medi-Span subscription.

This allows you to have the label Info; with Shape, Imprint and Color information automatically included. Additionally, medication images are included and will print on the Drug Education Monograph.
