We listened to the many different ways that our customers are recording data from patient visits and we thought that we could help them out by adding some new functionality to our Web Portal module. Are you among those who still do paper charting? Do your clinicians carry around printed progress note forms and patient assessments to the patient’s home? And how do they return them to you? Do they drive them back to the office or do they fax them? How do you bill for these visits? Who enters the clinicians' paperwork into CPR+? Is it the Clinicians' job to essentially re-do their work or does another staff member have the fun job of deciphering the clinicians' handwriting? What is the risk of mis-reading or transposing information… That's why we added new functionality to the Web Portal primarily for Clinicians in the field. The Clinician is at the Patient's home with the laptop of his or her choice. They connect to the internet, and log into Web Portal. Quickly, they do a patient search to find the patient and they are ready to begin. One of the most common things a Clinician will do while in the patient's home is record any new medications that the patient is taking. Wouldn’t it be great if they could enter that new med into the Medication Profile in CPR+?
While at this window, Clinicians will enter the medication and perform a search. They can select from the list of drugs in the Medispan Database. Once the selection is made, the necessary information can be entered - just as they would do while working in CPR+.
If needed, your clinicians will be able to print a Drug Monograph too. Now, since that's so brilliant, how about if we were able to run your Medispan checks in Web Portal just as you would in CPR+? Sure, no problem. On the screen below you can choose from a list of checks such as Adverse Drug Effects, Drug-Drug Interactions, Precautions and more.
Do you create your own assessments in CPR+? Then I'm sure you'll be excited to know that those assessments are now available in Web Portal. Your clinicians can gather the data, entering it into your own, completely customizable assessment forms. But that's not all, we've made it secure. Every assessment can be electronically signed. The user will be prompted to enter their CPR+ password after clicking the pen icon (see below.)
As you can see, we gathered your requests and continue to build a product that is user-friendly, with the ability to add and edit Medication profiles, to perform Drug Interactions checks, and electronically sign reports. If your company is still doing paper-based clinical documentation, you owe it to yourself to take a look at Web Portal. For more information or answers to any questions you may have about our new additions to Web Portal, send me an email or call me at 866-277-4876.
